The Mission of Chicago Equestrians for a Cause is to showcase high level equestrian events with the express purpose of raising funds for selected charitable institutions in the Chicago area.

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital Of Chicago
Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is a state-of-the-art hospital located in downtown Chicago on the campus of its academic partner, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. The hospital is ranked as one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals in U.S. News & World Report. The hospital relies on philanthropic support to care for more than 174,000 children each year. The United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides charitable financial and educational assistance to members of the hunter/jumper equestrian community. Specifically, the Foundation, a supporting organization to USHJA, offers financial assistance to hunter/jumper equestrians in need, unique educational opportunities for hunter/jumper equestrians who face adversity, and support for educational grants and scholarships for hunter/jumper equestrians. The USHJA Foundation is funded through charitable contributions received primarily from individuals.
The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation
The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation raises money to support basic, clinical, and population research programs related to the causes, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer at The University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center. Donations to the Foundation, both large and small support innovative research that brings us closer to making cancer a manageable disease; expand the scope of cancer control and prevention efforts to save lives and diminish the harmful effects of cancer; and train young scientists who will make discoveries that benefit our generation as well as generations to come.
Horsefeathers Therapeutic Riding
Horsefeathers Therapeutic Riding is a non-for-profit equine program dedicated to using horses and ponies to improve the quality of life for children and adults with special needs, located in Lake Forest, Illinois. Horsefeathers builds on the many benefits that horseback riding confers which can profoundly impact an individual’s physical, mental, emotional, and social realms, and provides one-on-one Hippotherapy by licensed Occupational and Speech therapists, high quality therapeutic riding instruction by PATH-certified instructors, and provides coaching and support to its riders who participate in the Special Olympics Equestrian Events.
